Henry Moore Foundation.
Hugh Broughton Associate - at Perry Green
This project was the development of the Henry Moore Foundation at Perry Green where the artist had his studio. The project was to house the extensive archive of drawings and Marquette’s within the grounds and make the visiting of the garden where the large bronze sculptures reside more accessible to the public.
The new pavilion has windows and doors designed by the architect in quarter-cut oak frames which are stained grey to match the building and cladding. The archive extension is in CorTen so the frames are stained a deeper richer oak. Capoferri developed the windows and doors with their security features to match the Architects' brief and specifications. There was no standard product that could match this specific requirement.
