Heatherwick Studio - Spun Chair.

This is a limited series of metal versions of the Spun chair made commercially in rotational-molded polyethylene. These were made by welding 6 separate and complex metal spinnings and then either polished to mirror surface or a few were made with chiseled groves in steel which was then rusted. These required the best artisans to weld without any distortion or deformations as the mirror exposed any imperfection.
