Capoferri
The Art of Making Doors and Windows.
Capoferri is a family run company celebrating its 125th year. They started as a wood workshop and now make bespoke windows , doors and mechanisms all in-house. There are now two workshops, the wood in Adrara where the technical office and admin and the other metalwork shop is in Telgate.
There is no product, Everything is done as a bespoke solution. So if there are thermal or acoustic requirements these are designed on CAD to meet the specification. Testing can be done in-house with the second largest wind, water test rig in Adrara. The wood workshop have a patented 3D milling machine which holds the wood as its being milled on all 4 sides, so it is to engineering tolerances. GluLam technology is used to make the frames rigid. If the frames are in metal , Steel, stainless steel or bronze, no aluminium is used, these are made for sheet metal and laser or water jet cut, milled , folded and fabricated in the facility nearby in Telgate. See images of the in-house processes.
There is a technical office which develops the project from drawing through to CAD / CAM manufacture. Only after inspection are the goods shipped and installed on site. Security is a speciality where windows can be built to STANAG level 4 a NATO Standard of bullet proofing - see test images of glass. Mechanisms to make doors, lift & Slide, never just slide, so the seals that are made in-house are always a two movement , detachment and then movement. Doors can be made to 6m high.
Ask about your requirement and their team will study the solution. The reverse mentality to selling a standard profile adapted to the specification. Craftsmanship with the latest technology is Capoferri’s modus operandi.
